For over thirteen years, Ed Mayhue worked tirelessly to make Shelby County Head Start, Inc one of the most successful Head Start Programs in the country. Under his leadership, Head Start went from 800 to over 2,400 children and families being served. His mantra was "there is always room for improvement and that is the room that we should be working in".
